The Honourable High Court of Madras, Madurai bench stayed the KVPY Aptitude Test scheduled on November 07, 2021. The KVPY Aptitude Test will not be held on November 07, 2021.  Further updates will be available on the website.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the KVPY program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year.

KVPY Important dates :

Opening of online KVPY application portal : 12th July 2021

Date for closing of KVPY online application : 25th August 2021 

KVPY Aptitude Test Date : 7th November 2021 

Last date for change of Test city: 25th September 2021

Download of KVPY Admit card : November 2021

HOW TO APPLY KVPY Application Form: Application for KVPY-2021 must be done online only.

Students may apply Online at http://www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in by clearly indicating the stream (i.e., SA/SX/SB).

Candidates can apply online only from 12/07/2021 to 25/08/2021 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Candidates have to visit the KVPY application portal, click on the option APPLY ONLINE which will open a new screen.

There are three steps to complete your KVPY application successfully.
    Step 1. Registration
    Step 2. Filling personal and academic details, choosing test centres and uploading photo, signature and other certificates, as applicable.
    Step 3. Payment of application fees.
