KVPY SELECTION PROCEDURE:
KVPY Aptitude Test: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria for various streams, will be called for aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country.

KVPY Interview : Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students will be asked to appear for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.

All the questions are compulsory in the KVPY SA stream.
In SB/SX streams, you can attempt any 3 sections from Part 1 and any 2 sections from part 2.

In SB/SX streams, you can attempt any 3 sections from Part 1 and any 2 sections from part 2.
KVP Exam Mode : KVPY is essentially a computer based test (CBT). So, you can only take it in the online mode.
KVPY Question Type : Questions are of multiple choice type (MCQs).
For SA Stream, it is compulsory to attempt all questions. However, for candidates of SB/SX stream, there is an option to attempt any three sections in PART I & any two sections in PART II.
KVPY Exam Duration : Candidates are given 3 hours to complete the paper.
Language for KVPY Question Paper: A candidate has the option to take the paper in English or in Hindi.
KVPY Marking Scheme : The question paper is divided in two parts. In part 1 of the test, candidates are awarded +1 and -¼ for correct and incorrect answers respectively. For part 2, candidates are awarded +2 and -½ for correct and incorrect answers respectively.
